Eye Check-up Camp at Shigally by Drishti Eye Institute
15th December 2019. Drishti Foundation, Dehradun in association with Rotary Club Mussoorie, organized an eye checkup camp at Mussoorie Girls Inter College. Regular Eye checkup camps have always been a priority of Drishti to contribute its services to the underprivileged of financially weaker section of the society. In this regard, Drishti organized an eye checkup camp in Sigally, With patchy health care services available in the area, the population there is almost deprived of quality medical facilities.
The camp attracted residents of Shigally and nearbay villages which included individuals of all age group group and over a 100 poor patients were screened. In cases where patients were prescribed medicines, free medicines were distributed in the camp. On screening, about 20 were identified with cataract who will be operated free of cost sponsored by Drishti Foundation, the charity wing of Drishti. On this occasion Dr Saurabh Luthra, addressed all those present in the camp and also promised to do such social services from time to time.
Eye Check-up Camp at Mussoorie Girls Inter College, organized by Drishti and Rotary Club
20th Nov. 2019 Drishti Foundation, Dehradun in association with Rotary Club Mussoorie, organized an eye checkup camp at Mussoorie Girls Inter College. Children are more susceptible to vision disorders which if not diagnosed early can cause them serious harm in future. In most cases small children may not even speak up about such problems with clarity. The aim of this camp was to identify such children who are underprivileged living in areas where not too many medical facilities are available. Drishti Eye Institute under its charity wing Drishti Foundation took a step forward to reach out to this school with their skilled and qualified team. After screening comprehensively each student for color vision and far vision, 35 students required proper spectacles number, 2 students were diagnosed for squint and 1 for color blindness, who will be provided free treatment at our state of art facility. Each student was personally briefed on how to keep their eyes healthy and how to follow proper hygiene.
